I've uploaded the new logo file to replace the old one lately. Since the one used here looks like only for the TVA (which is criticised by others due to lack of materials), So it would be updated as new to fit the OVA series; true remake (which follows the manga's story exactly) respected by all. What do you think?
Old one (TVA): In the name of God, impure souls of the living dead sall be banished into eternal damnation. Amen.
New one (OVA): The Bird of Hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame.
I tried to re-upload the former file with my recent file, but I couldn't because it says: "Use Theme Designer to upload wordmark or wiki background". I can't activate my theme designer. You're the admin, so you could use your theme designer to re-upload the old one with my new one. Would you help me one more time, please?
Though it's unlikely that she will respond, I will just wait and see. Apologies for the edit war btw. Typically most wiki's I've edited accept having pre-confirmed voice actors listed down by just simply listening to the voice and comparing it (e.g. Walking Dead wikia, which got several voice actors of characters correct before it was even confirmed).
Hello, I've noticed that you use a red colour for links. Maybe the colour should be changed to a different one, so that normal links could be different from redlinks? This is useful for editors and more clear.
I was aware it could be an issue; it was like that before I joined. I went ahead and made some changes. The reason I held off was because not many colors go with red, so this was an annoying thing to tackle.
Hello, I have a question. Which one, Hellsing: Ultimate or Hellsing Ultimate, is a fully correct name of the OVA? I have seen both uses, the one with ":" here and the one without at My Anime List and a Polish website about anime. I'm a bit confused about which one is the correct one, maybe I should just use any of these and use a redirect for the other one? (I'm talking about the Polish Hellsing Wiki now, I need to make a page for Ultimate)
I believe it's purely a stylistic choice. Meaning neither one is more correct than the other. Like Naruto Shippuden is almost always written with a colon, even on the wikia, while the actual title seen on covers and such doesn't use one.
Look, I'll be upfront. I'm an asshole. There is no other way of putting it, I'm simply very difficult to get along with if you go about it the wrong way with me. I'm irritable, meaning I've made outbursts before, but don't like it when I do.
However, I'm also fairly dedicated to anything that catches my interest, so I tend to work with it as much as I can. I'm also fairly supportive of overall efficiency and consistency with what I work with. If I see what I perceive to be neither or them, I get irritated.
And sorry to say, but I'm irritated with this wiki in particular.
If there's was a way to maximise efficiency, I would take it. You didn't, with the external links to Wikipedia. FANDOM had implemented the ability to use that kind of link for a reason, so why shouldn't we? You said little difference to bytes, but tell me: would you rather remember/go through the trouble of copying the URL or the Wikipedia's page name? I'd pick the latter over the former any day if I had a choice in the matter, because at least you don't need to type so much.
And that minor character got me thinking, there should be a page for all Minor Characters instead of several pages for characters who barely appeared in the manga/anime/OVA. I mean, sure, there would definitely be less pages, but how many of them have substantial information for them to even exist? Though, not all minor characters have to be there if you don't want to. Makube, for example, is a minor character, but he's notable for being based on a prototype character, so it might be enough for you to warrant it.
I have more grievances, like that spaces for br / nonsense, but I won't overstep my boundaries. I just needed to put this out there, you understand that? If you don't like them, then don't add them. It's still your call, but keep this in mind that I'm just trying to help out like everyone else.
You aren't overstepping any boundaries so, please, feel free to voice any issues you have. Let's go through these and perhaps we can come to agreements ^_^
As far as dedication goes, I'm not entirely dedicated to this wikia nor is anyone else. You've been here since 2016, long enough to see how a wikia fares with no administration? I saw a series that I like, saw that the wikia was essentially dying and decided to look after it. If someone who wants to actually do work and such appears in the future, I'll gladly hand my rights over.
There are also things that irritate me. If you haven't noticed, not all changes wikia (or should we call them FANDOM now?) makes are for the better.
You ask: "would you rather remember/go through the trouble of copying the URL or the Wikipedia's page name?"
Answer: It's not about what's easier for me or for you. I believe that the URL method is easier for newer users. I frequent a large amount of wikias and the URL method seems to be the preferred one. On top of that, I'd rather the wikia not be flooded with various types of External links. One should be adequate enough, no?
On to minor characters: We are an encyclopedia, I think it's important most things receive their own articles (especially those things that are named). This is a topic that's often brought up all across wikia and I never completely understood the issue. The Spirit of the Jackal can be merged with this article. Pages like that are unnecessary as they are incredibly short and lack an official name. Others, like this article, can remain as they can actually be fleshed out more.
