Synopsis[]

Prologue[]

Enrico Stivaletti, a college student who was turned into an artificial vampires like many others before him; tries to turn Mick, his childhood friend, into a vampire; however, this action backfired and Mick died. Apologizing, feeling guilty and lost himself; multiple people eventually barges into the room, and puts down Enrico.

And then, at the Eurostar London Railway; a seemingly tall priest had appeared, and was greeted kindly by everyone around him, whom he greeted by saying "May God be with You", and kisses his cross necklace, and that said Priest; is a man from Rome who came to London to come pick a foreign student from Rome.

Plot[]

In the London Hospital the corpse of the aforementioned, College Student, was put on to do an operation about the FREAK chip; testing to see if they could save him without needing to kill him entirely by pulling out the FREAK chip. Sir Integra and Lieutenant views the operation outside, and both has a seemingly normal conversation. Despite this, Lieutenant still remains to dislike Integra visibly, getting quite annoyed of her cool and collected behavior. After having finished removed the FREAK Chips from the college student; the doctor tells his assistant to keep his body, as he's a foreign student and a man from Rome is coming to pick him up.

Back at the Hellsing Manor, Seras was seen going to her room, tired. She stares at the medical blood that was on the table, and starts pouring it on the mug. She was hesitant to drink it and in the end, flushing it down the toilet. Alucard then communicates with Seras telepathically, asking her what she's doing and explains about the fact that her body will become weak if she doesn't drink it again, much to his annoyance. At the streets of London, the Vatican Agent named "Alexander Anderson" walks towards a hallway for a shortcut, and was intervened by a Prostitute who eventually left.

Alucard was ordered by Integra to talk with her. He does what he was told to do and appears in Integra's office. He then talks with Integra talking about the FREAK chip and as Integra gets a phone call, Alucard disappears without a trace. At the London Hospital, the college student had woken up and goes on a murder spree to find his childhood friend, Mick; and would stop at anything to do so. He equips a Uzi and carries a shotgun, and kills multiple police officers without hesitation nor mercy. At the Hellsing Manor, Integra was informed that the Vatican had sent Alexander Anderson to the London Hospital because of a secret business, but because of the fact that he had woken up; he has no choice but to put an end to the vampire. Integra gets angry, and slams her table. Back at Seras' room, she was seen sitting while staring at picture of her with her D-11 team and heard the phone ring. Sir Integra has a talk with Walter about the Iscariot, and was eventually met by Fargason; whom informed Integra that they are leaving for the crime scene. Unexpectedly, Sir Integra orders Walter to send Alucard, which, Walter was surprised at but orders are orders.

Alucard later was ordered by Integra to go incase Anderson had appeared, and Seras, along with Captain Gareth's squad was ordered by Integra to kill Enrico Stivaletti. Gareth orders the Squad to move except for Seras, who stays with him. She begins to set up her weapon, and Alucard once again communicates with Seras telepathically, telling her the basics of killing Vampires and orders Seras to shoot them, to which, Seras responds with "Yes sir. Yes, my Master." and forces herself to shoot all of the London police ghouls, then sees Enrico Stivaletti, appearing from a smoke and screams "Mick."

Me when

Seras feels sympathetic to him, but was ready to pull the trigger until suddenly, she sees Gareth falls dead to the floor in front of her, stabbed in the back. Seras was shocked, and stands then turn around to see who did this, only to catch a sword through her throat. She falls to her knees as the Vatican Priest strides forward, condemning her for her vampiric existence and as he walks towards Enrico, he says that he is the instrument of God, messenger of the divine punishment of heaven, and aims his blessed bayonet as Enrico. As he was ready to kill Enrico, he delivers a line from the bible, until Alucard suddenly appears behind Enrico. Plunging his hand to his heart, killing him.

Sailoorrr mooonn
HAZZAH!

Before he could do that, Alucard appears behind Enrico and plunges his hand to Enrico's heart, killing him. This took Anderson and Seras by surprise. Alucard, after disposing Stivaletti, smiles and says that Anderson shouldn't have come here while also telling Seras to not talk saying that her body is weak after getting stabbed on the neck by Anderson's bayonet. After a brief talk and Alexander smugly says that the Vatican has been getting rid of monsters such as Alucard and then, Anderson purifies the place so that he can't use his "Cheap black magics" and laughs. This visibly annoyed both Alucard and Seras. Alexander prepares his two Bayonets, which was blessed and announces his mission; it is to exterminate fools who go against's their god. Alucard then coolly pulls his Casull out and says that he's putting him back to his place. The two, ready for a standoff and then, Anderson smiles and begins to rush towards Alucard, missing 5 times with his Bayonets. Alexander hits Alucard's torso with his blessed Bayonets. However, Alucard manages to get his Casull at point blank range on his head, Both stopped for a second and Alucard questions Alexander if put a blessing on his bayonet, and then tells Alexander that with this bullet was for a vampire, but it'll do descend Alexander to hell and then, Alexander smiles widely and eventually, gets shot by Alucard's Casull in the head at point-blank range.

Out boogied the boogieman

He was sure Anderson was dead since he though he was only a human and goes to help Seras, until Alexander regenerates his wound and impales Alucard in the back with multiple blessed bayonets, which shocks Alucard and terrifies Seras. Alucard realizes that Anderson was a Human Regenerator, and starts getting frustrated and angry at Alexander and then, points his Casull at him while angrily saying that he will be happy to destroy him on behalf of his god, and states that even if he is a regenerator, he won't survive after Alucard repeatedly plugged Casull's Silver bullets onto his forehead. Alexander however, smugly says that he's a vampire coward who fights with man-made weapons and the two was preparing to fight again before Integra steps in, stopping them both from causing major damage to the building.

Integra scolds both Seras and Alucard, Seras for losing her own commander and Alucard for almost losing to Alexander. After Integra walks away, Alucard tells Seras to drink his blood to become a true vampire. Seras was hesitant and not ready, much to Alucard's annoyance. Alucard then teleports away, leaving Seras. Outside, Sir Integra sees Anderson leaving with the Vatican; and was notably still angry.

Differences from the Manga[]

Many of its differences was made to fill the episode up to hit the 23 minutes mark, mainly because the original 3 chapters of the manga wasn't long enough; in addition, Hirano had to literally add a bonus chapter of Crossfire to finally be able to publish Hellsing: Volume 1 as a tankōbon volume. One of the many changes include of a subplot about a college student, named Enrico Stivalleti; who doesn't appear in the manga at all. Anderson's reasons for coming to London/Badrick is also different;

  • In the manga, Anderson came to Badrick because of an order by father Renaldo; whom told Anderson that Hellsing is apparently wiping vampires in Northern Ireland; which the Vatican considered their territory.
  • In the anime, because of Enrico Stivaletti being a foreign exchange student originally from Rome; the Vatican had sent Anderson to come pick his body up - therefore, the reason why his body wasn't cremated was because "someone from Rome is gonna pick him up".

In addition, the fight with Anderson was shortened; ending in after Anderson revealed his true nature, where the manga ends after Alucard regenerated after having being decapitated by Anderson; which brings us to the reason why Anderson flees the battle, and the two greatly differs from one and another:

  • In the manga, Anderson left after seeing that his powers right now aren't capable of destroying Alucard completely, and says that the next time he'll meet any of them; it won't end up like this.
  • In the anime however, it can be accurately said that Anderson won the battle; Alucard was visibly hurt by his bayonets, and Sir Integra was able to stop the fight after giving Anderson the letter from Iscariot, which ordered him to retreat. Anderson left with basically no serious injury at all, and was only shot once by Alucard; whereas Alucard was impaled by multiple of Anderson's bayonet and moreover, Integra told Alucard that "The Hellsing Organisation has no room for a vampire that gets pummeled by a regenerator."

The place which the fight took place at is also different; the manga took place in Badrick, a town located in Northern Ireland; whereas the anime took place in a London Hospital. Anderson's reason to be there is also different, where the manga; Anderson was sent by Renaldo after hearing that the Hellsing Organisation was dealing with vampires near their turf, but the anime had Anderson go to the London Hospital because they have business with the college student, wanting to investigate the FREAK chips more.
