Later, Walter is provoked by Jan saying that he's a feeble old man and laughing. But before he could end Jan, he was shocked to see that the Hellsing Military had turned into ghouls. In the middle of taking a breath to calm down, Luke is called upon by Jan, who tells Luke that they had already taken over the first and second floor.

Luke tells him to proceed accordingly and don't let his guard down while opening a mirror that reveals a secret passage through a basement. Only then Luke ends the call and enters it, while asking what Alucard could do. Making a loud entrance to the room, Luke states that even if he (Alucard) hides, he (Luke) can still sense his powerful aura. Only then he is met by Alucard sitting comfortably on his throne stating that he doesn't hide nor run; he was just getting tired of waiting.

Lukandalucard

Luke talks about the legends of the great Alucard to Alucard

Slowly walking towards Alucard, Luke bows in front of him and introduces himself to Alucard, whom he said that he had previously admired and worshipped. Luke claims that he had previously heard many of Alucard's nickname up until now a number of times in his mission, one of which claims that he's an immortal. Amused, Alucard states that one of the nickname, which claims that he is immortal, is simply nothing but rubbish, and that there's no such thing as a "true immortal."

Luke agrees, and that's the reason why he wants to prove so by defeating and killing Alucard; stating that the legend of his immortality ends today. Up until then, a glass of wine drops; but before it does so, Luke pulls out his gun and charges straight towards Alucard; pointing his M1 Garand to his head while Alucard pulls out his Casull and aims at Luke's head also. As the glass drops to the floor and shatters, both pulls the trigger and are struck backwards; with Luke dropping to the floor. Although both goes down with a smile.

Checkmatealucard

Luke points his gun to Alucard's head, but retreats after Alucard's trickery

Laughing and giggling, Alucard is met with a similar response of that to his by Luke, who proceeds to pulls out another M1 Garand from his suit before Alucard could do so as well; shooting him multiple times before getting up and is met with a barrage of bullets sent by Alucard's Casull, to which he dodges swiftly. In the middle of so, Luke states that he isn't anything like the instant vampires he have fought before. Then, Luke once again charges towards Alucard and points his Casull to his head, screaming "checkmate."

But, he is shocked to see that Alucard had placed his Casull to Luke's heart; which would've been a killing blow, so Luke backs off and dodges another hail of bullets sent by Alucard. But then, one of the shots surprised him; which is sent by Alucard's new weapon, the Jackal which blows off a wall from Luke's back. Terrifying Luke as a result of the immense firepower of the Jackal. Nevertheless, Luke stood his ground and remains confident as Alucard compliments Luke for his extraordinary reflex capabilities.

The two continues the fight, and Alucard now stands up as he shoots Luke while still standing still and taking in every shot he takes from Luke. In the midst of dodging the spray of bullets, Luke wonders if Alucard could really be a true immortal, but finds that to be impossible as there's no such thing as so. Once the shooting stops, Luke smiles confidently as he states that he can beat Alucard while Alucard could barely stand from the damage he took, but still smiles widely.

Alucardstandsup

Recognizing Luke's strength, Alucard determines that Luke is worthy to be his opponent

Alucard giggles and states that he hasn't so much fun in many ages, and takes a quick look at Luke which disturbs and causes Luke to sweat. He asks for his name, to which Luke responds back stating his name. Alucard stands up and heals from his wounds, and proceeds to consider Luke a "category A" vampire and a great threat. Therefore, he unlocks his restriction level to One, and that the restriction would not lift until the enemy before he has been rendered silent.

Alucardrestriction

Alucard prepares his restriction

Now, Alucard states that he would teach him how a true vampire does battle, and dimorphs into an eldritch-like horror, summoning Baskerville who runs up towards Luke, who proceeds to cowardly run away towards the exit. From behind, Alucard's arm with the Jackal in hand comes out of one of the Baskerville's mouth and points his gun at Luke's leg, shooting one of them as Luke desperately jumps towards the exit as a result. Near the stairs, Alucard shoots the last leg of Luke as he falls down.

Alucardmocking

Alucard tells Luke to stand up as the only damage he suffered is only a severed leg

Luke looks up towards and is horrified at the sight of so many stairs, therefore losing hope of any chance in escaping from Alucard. He giggles as a way to cope, and looks behind only to see Alucard in such horrifying state, and demands an answer as to what his true nature really is. Alucard then morphs himself atop of the many Baskervilles and darkness, holding out Luke's right leg and throwing it at Luke; demanding him to regenerate and get up, then fight back as the fun has only just begun.

Alucardbaskervilles

Alucard summons Baskerville in order for him to eat his meal

Suddenly, Luke shouts that Alucard is a monster, shocking Alucard as he reforms completely back to his straitjacket form, and his smile fading away. He stares angrily at Luke and belittles him, but Luke fights back and says that he's nothing but Hellsing's dog, however Alucard silences him and proclaims that if he (Alucard) is a dog, then he (Luke) is nothing but dog food as he summons Baskerville and began to devour Luke up. Staring at the pool of blood, Alucard states that he was shit as man, and now he's become dog shit.

Alucard then wonders why Hellsing is having so much trouble dealing with the guy upstairs, but shrugs it off and returns back to his domain.

Aftermath[]

IronsandIntegra

Irons orders Integra to put her men out of misery despite Walter's protests

Integra orders Walter to put the remaining ghouls out of their misery. However Irons stops Walter from doing so and orders Integra to do so because it's her fault that they went through this, as she is a commander and needs to take responsibility as to what happened because they were underprepared. Despite Walter's attempt at refusing, Integra stops Walter and accepts her responsibility. She then walks over the pool of dismembered, but alive ghouls to finish them off while apologizing to them. Irons orders Walter to find more information about the Millennium group.

Afterwards, the next day, Walter informs Integra that out of 96 members of the military, only 10 survived. Integra then asks about Millennium, to which Walter states that they have searched through many stuff left unnoticed, even working with MI6 to search through unsorted book stacks at the British Museum, however nothing was found. Walter then apologizes. However after connecting the dots with "Millennium Empire" and World War II, Integra reaches the conclusion that it is connected with Nazi Germany; terrifying Walter.

In a dark room, The Major appears before them to order his men to resume the experiment.

Production[]

Due to the disastrous scheduling of the first episode; with a bunch of rewrites that leads to the quality being lower than expected, the production team promises to not postpone the release of the second episode any further, with a clear focus on one script and no rewrites needed. A clear release date is set for 25 August of the same year as the first episode, with the catchphrase included in the trailer "Make a Raid," and a clear focus on the battle of the Hellsing Manor. The trailer's first scene includes a scene of Alucard mocking Luke, before then the title card appears and switches to the flashback sequence between Van Helsing and Dracula, then Alucard sitting on his throne before the battle between Jan against Seras and Walter appears.

Trivia[]

  • The fight between Luke Valentine and Alucard contains a continuity error, showing Luke taking a shot from the Jackal to the head. In the manga, he was shot in the face by the Casull and to the legs by the Jackal, this was fixed in the Blu-ray remaster of the volume done by Madhouse (who also animated episode 5-7). In the HD version on Blu-ray, Alucard now begins the fight with Luke using the Casull.
  • While the continuity error of the Jackal and the Casull was remastered in the Blu-ray version, Alucard's gloves still have the Hellsing-pentagram on them in the opening scene with Dracula and Abraham Van Helsing, despite the fact this was also a continuity error of the original version.
