Alucard, after shooting the prostitute.

The Hellsing member soon pulls out his long-barrel pistol, and seemingly points the gun at the man. However, he soon quickly turns his target around to the prostitute, after telling the man to get out of the way, and shot the girl; whom turns into dusts upon shooting, killing her immediately. After trying to run away, he tripped and fell; and saw the whole scene, in which, he had realized that the prostitute turns out to be a Vampire. Smiling, the mysterious man gets up and then disappears from the scene, leaving the man with many questions.

The Hellsing Organisation arrives and soon, along with the Police Department, crowds the place; and took everyone out of the place for safety purposes. In addition, the mysterious vampire hunter, named "Alucard", reported to the head of the Hellsing Organisation - that the job was done, and "Limited Release" was completed.

Plot[]

Several reports of few people on Cheddar Village caused the Division-11 to be quickly called upon by the London Police Department. However, after even most of the D-11 members was called upon; they failed, and they weren't able to be contacted; leading the Hellsing Organisation to be called, as it's likely a supernatural threat, and the Hellsing Organisation was informed that most of the elite officers of D-11 was lost, and presumed dead. Soon enough, Integra Hellsing, the Hellsing Organisation's head, took command of the operation, and after a brief talk with the Lieutenant, she assured him; telling him that she had already sent a member to do the job, and that member is an expert at it. Only one member of the Hellsing Organisation was sent.

The Agent, Alucard later appears in the forest and talked about how a good night it was. And soon, it cuts to a young female officer named "Seras Victoria"; running out of the ACP after grabbing a first aid kit to heal a wounded member, Jack. However, after confessing about pretty much everything to him, Jack turns into a ghoul; and tries to bite Seras, which unfortunately; she dodged. Couldn't bring herself to shoot her former colleague, Seras instead hits him with her pistol in the eye, which blinded Jack for a moment. She soon runs for the base, in which, all of her colleague had been infected, leaving her alone; and later, made a run for it after shooting just one of her colleague whom turned into a ghoul on the torso, which does not work.

Alucard and sersa

Left alone, wandering within the Cheddar Village's forest, she's confused about what to do. However, unexpectedly, a ghoul appears, walking towards Seras; and she later points her gun at the ghoul. Forcing herself to shoot her, she had almost pulled the trigger, however, someone unexpected drives his hand to the ghoul's heart - impaling her; killing her, turning into dust. Confused, and don't know whether he's a threat or an ally; she points her gun at him. Alucard, the man whom killed the ghoul, talked to the girl. Then, after he mentioned about "sucking blood" and such, Seras shoots Alucard in the shoulder, blowing it off, however, healed right soon after. Considering "not human", therefore; a foe, she made a run for it and left Alucard.

Now alone yet again, she stumbles across a church, and enters it; then found a figure greeting her, whom later revealed himself as the church's priest. However, once they talked about the ghouls outside; he demonstrated the vampires capabilities - using his hypnosis powers on Seras and later, grabs her using his telekinesis power. Intending to take her for himself, and later; to turn the police girl into a ghoul - Alucard kicks the door to the church, and calls the priest a "punk'. He later describes himself as the Hellsing Organisation's "Garbage Disposal" Unit, which, the priest took lightly; laughing at Alucard's statements.

After insulting the priest's look, and berates about how pathetic he is; Alucard enters the church, making a loud noise. Slowly walking towards the priest, he insults the priest while doing so, and after the priest had summoned a D-11 Ghoul army, Alucard didn't stop, instead making his voice louder and clearer. Calling him a "narrow-minded king" and ends it off with by saying that even Hell wouldn't accept him, the priest had enough of this and commanded the ghoul to shoot Alucard, whom got hit by a barrage of bullets and later, fell and drops, seemingly dead.

Sheriff on patrol

Alucard, wiping out the Vicar's army of D-11 Ghouls with ease.

With no hope left, Seras looks down; given up everything, until mist covers the entire place, and the blood coming out of Alucard's corpse starts to move towards his corpse; regenerating him. Stating that gun's are useless against him, Alucard, once fully regenerated; pulls out his gun - the Casull, and started to shoot the priest's ghouls with ease. Having wasted all of their ammos on Alucard to prove a point, the ghouls does not have any ammo left - therefore, the priest couldn't do anything; being forced to watch as Alucard kills his army of ghoul with no effort, wasted. The Priest, after seeing Alucard massacre his Ghouls in seconds, tries to reason with him and asks him why is he doing this when he's a vampire like him, to which, Alucard replies back by saying that instant vampires like him are cockroaches, multiplying everywhere before you know it, and that he doesn't stand his kind, "half-ass vampires without the slightest bit of self-respect." He also tells the Priest that he has his reasons in serving humans and then, points his gun at him, terrifying the Priest.

The Priest then goes behind Seras, and makes fun of him cause he knows that he won't kill humans. Alucard, confused on what to do, realizes that the only way to save her is to turn her into a vampire. The Priest tries to reason with Alucard again, but, Alucard instead ignores him and asks Seras if she wants to be a Vampire; Seras agrees and Alucard smirks then shoots her in the heart, the bullet penetrates her body with the Priest, killing him. Seras is critically wounded due to Alucard's Casull, and Alucard turns her into a vampire to save her life.

Later, Alucard returns to Integra's whereabouts, and reports the mission to her. Integra replies that he took too long on a single target. Her gaze falls to Seras, who is wrapped in blankets in Alucard's arms and looks very dazed. Integra says that an ambulance should be called and starts to walk away. However, Alucard says that he would like the female police officer to be transferred to Hellsing Organization. Integra looks over her shoulder, seemingly annoyed and surprised. Seras nods at her, but Integra's expression only becomes more severe. In an aggravated voice, she tells Alucard not to do selfish things and later, Integra walks away and loudly snaps that Hellsing will withdraw.

Differences from the Manga[]

Many changes has been made, including the removal of the Cheddar Priest's backstory, the addition and more in-depth view of Seras' team and D-11, along with a completely different setting at the final battle; the manga's battle took place in the forest, however, the anime did it inside of the church. In addition, the prologue is completely new, it's not in the manga at all. Integra's discussion with the Lieutenant is extended, and their conversation instead took place in the London Police Depart, instead of a tent. Furthermore, Alucard met Seras at the final battle at the forest during the final standoff between the priest and alucard; however, in the anime, they met at the forest, shortly before the final battle in the church. Other minor changes include the removal of Alucard talking with the Hellsing Organisation at the very first panel of the chapter, Seras meeting the priest for the very first time at the church, the comedy bits when Alucard brang Seras to Integra; their conversation was also extended.

Trivia[]

  • The red sky that appears in this episode was colored as such due to deadline issues. Lighting the sky properly would mean using contrasting shades of blue and black for everything in the frame, which would take far too long. Their solution was to color the sky red, to avoid having to light everything.
  • Animations from the Hellsing trailer was used, including the shot of a misty moon during the final standoff, within the church and the animation of Alucard's hand striking the ghoul's chest, killing her. This was used to save time and money, and more of the animations from the Hellsing trailer was also used later on.
